in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Emory University Hospital
Midtown -The Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Emory provides the
opportunity to work closely with a variety of cardiac conditions
including those with multi-system failure, advanced heart failure,
and heart transplantation. - -We provide support to patients with
severe states of shock including mechanical ventilatory support as
well as mechanical circulatory support. - -Ideal candidate will
have current ICU experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or
Physician Assistant. - Current experience with mechanical
circulatory support and invasive procedures is highly desired for
this role. - CVL and Arterial Line placement experience is strongly
preferred. -Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are an
integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health

Care Unit at Emory Midtown is seeking an experienced Acute Care
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. - - -Current ICU
experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician
Assistant is required for this position. - -Nurse Practitioner
candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).
- Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
- Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical
records.
- Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories,
psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or
potential problems.
- Under the direction of a physician, performs physical
examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic
procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing
and dressing changes.
- Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing
care plans, and prescribing treatment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
program or Physician Assistant program.
- Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state
of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse
Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or
equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
(NCCPA).
- Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
- May require at least one year of direct experience in one or
more high acuity clinical specialties.
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and
Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required
